Kandi’s Iced Matcha Latte with Homemade Lavender Syrup

Updated: Aug 7, 2020

Guest Food Blogger and Daughter makes the house smell so good everyday!

Your New Go-To Summer Drink!

I love this drink. I love matcha and I recently found out that I love lavender syrup with it!

This recipe consists of only a few ingredients too, which makes for a simple recipe and directions.

You will need matcha powder(I purchased mine at Sprouts), hot water, almond milk(or any type of milk), ice cubes, and lavender syrup(here is the exact recipe I followed to make mine).

Once you have your ingredients ready to go, start to boil your hot water. You’ll only need a tablespoon to dissolve the matcha powder. As it starts to bubble turn off the heat and combine in a shallow bowl along with your matcha. I use two teaspoons of matcha powder per cup (I prefer my matcha on the stronger side). Reach for your bamboo whisk (found here and is so worth the purchase) and mix. This is a helpful tutorial to get a perfectly smooth liquid.

Next, grab a cup you love and put your ice cubes, a cup of almond milk, and a tablespoon of lavender syrup into it. Finally, pour your matcha into the cup, stir, and enjoy your refreshing ice matcha!

Please keep reading if you want to hear why I love matcha!

So, as you already know from the first sentence I am a huge fan of matcha. Hot or iced, it always makes me feel awake, alert and ready to take on the day.

I hope that you enjoy this drink as much as I do!

Let me know in the comments below what you think or if you decided to add your own twist to it!

Enjoy,

Kandi
